logMedData app for iPhone and iPad

The logMedData app is a simple way to log medicines taken on either an as needed basis or as part of a schedule. View history and graphs of medicine taken. View the quantity of medicine remaining. Also track health events such as procedures done, specific occurrences (for example, a headache), or track information obtained on a regular basis (for example, blood sugar level).

Log individual medicines or a predefined group of medicines either as needed or as part of a scheduled alarm. Create a medicine by entering a medicine name, range, default quantity to be taken and units. Use the Log Medicine or Log Medicine Group interface to log the medicine or group at the current time or entered date and time. Optionally indicate the start of a new prescription to enable tracking of how much medicine is still available. Optionally start an alarm based on the time the medicine was logged.

Log health data events to track over time such as Diastolic or Systolic blood pressure or simply log the last date of a health event occurrence such as a T-DAP shot. Create a health category by entering a category name, target range, units and any notes that may pertain to the category. Health category events may be tracked as text or numerical values and may be logged at the current time or entered date and time.

There are six alarms that can have a customized name, time of day and alarm sound. Start by adding a medicine to an alarm group. Select to which day of the week the medicine should be included and a notification will sound at the scheduled time. Opening the notification will show the medicines scheduled to be taken and an option to log them.

The following medicine reports are available:
- Quantity Taken over time
- Number of Times Taken over time
- Number of Times Taken Per Day of Week
- Average Time Between Entries
Default report time periods include the last month, last year, and last five years. A custom report can be created based on the number of months or years from the current date.

- Average Value over time (numeric only)
- Number of Times Logged over time
- Times Logged Per Day of Week

An in app purchase enables the ability to export a tab separated file containing medicine or health data entries. The exported file can be updated using a text editor and imported into the application (for an existing medicine or health category). The exported file could also be imported into a spreadsheet application for custom data analysis. The file is transferred to and from the app using the iTunes application and requires a computer to transfer the file.
